Adherence to Google’s Policies
All distributors are expected to adhere to the Google Distributor Strategies and accompanying approaches. Failure to comply without consent from Google may result in disabling ad serving to your site or disabling your AdSense account. If your account is disabled, you won’t be eligible for further participation in the AdSense program.
Policy Updates
Since policies may change without notice, please check regularly for updates. It is your responsibility to stay informed and adhere to the policies posted here. Exceptions to these policies are allowed only with approval from Google.
AdSense Code Placement
Distributors may place AdSense code on pages within the scope of the Google Distributor Limitations. However, this content may receive fewer advertisements than other non-restricted content.
Invalid Clicks and Impressions
Distributors must not click their own ads or artificially increase impressions or clicks, including manual methods.
Encouraging Clicks or Views
Aside from compensated stock, distributors may not request that others click or view their advertisements or use deceptive execution techniques to get clicks or views.
Traffic Sources
Google advertisements may not be placed on pages receiving traffic from specific sources, such as paid-to-click programs, unsolicited emails, or software applications. Additionally, distributors using internet promotion must ensure compliance with Google’s Landing Page Quality Rules.
Ad Behavior
Distributors are allowed to make adjustments to the AdSense ad code, as long as those changes do not artificially increase ad performance or harm advertisers.
Advertisement Placement
Distributors are encouraged to experiment with a variety of placements and ad formats. However, AdSense code may not be placed in inappropriate locations, such as pop-ups, emails, or software.
Site Conduct
Websites displaying Google advertisements should provide a user-friendly experience, including easy navigation and no malware or disruptive pop-ups.
Misleading Site Navigation
Distributors may not use deceptive execution methods that place ads in a way that may be confused with menu, navigation, or download links to obtain clicks or views.
Technical Requirements
Google has developed technical specifications for sites displaying Google ads. Publishers must comply with these specifications.
Please note that these policies are subject to change, and it is your responsibility to stay informed and comply with the latest policies posted here. Violation of these policies may result in action being taken against your AdSense account.
Design prerequisites WebView
- Not all WebView technologies support AdSense for Content (AFC) and Ad Exchange (AdX) display advertisements. If you’re an app developer looking to monetize by displaying AFC and AdX ads through a WebView, you must use one of the supported viewing frameworks:
- For Android: Chrome Custom Tab
- For iOS: SFSafariViewController (limited to iOS 9 and iOS 10)
- Google AdMob and AdX in-app advertisements can be displayed in an app alongside a WebView, provided that the Google Mobile Ads SDK is used and the publisher complies with all other AdSense program policies.
